It is a story about a young man who creates a hand puppet that hurts him in increasingly gruesome and bizarre ways. It is a story of desperation, fear, and an ever-present question: does the puppet have a mind of its own, or does the hand want to control it this way?

I love this.
The animation is incredible. The story is funny and very smartly written. The music compliments the tone of the film.
Patrick Smith is an animation force to be watched.

Ian Cinco made this stop motion music video for the WNYC Soundcheck Video Contest in August 2009. It took exactly 1 month to complete it (August 1st to August 31st). Storyboarding was done on the subway to and from work. All clock construction and animation was done on nights and weekends. .

As he filmed all the picture with a stop motion camera it makes an animation on the wall. Crazy cool imagery supports the crazy cool way he decided to make it. Awesome art.

"Watermelon Nights" is the 11th episode of the Meth Minute 39 cartoon series. Director Dan Meth takes the animation out into the real world with a full-length stop motion music video for this summer anthem by underground musician John Crave. It's one of the "sweetest" short films ever made.

ANGST
From the day André was born, he was harassed by the wind, which resulted
in a fear of it. Angst is beautiful and strange Animation.
TOONY THOUGHTS
This is an animation by Emiel Penders. I really like the look. Keeping the gray, black and white pallette really helps tell the tale of a young boy being harrassed by the wind. If it was brightly colored I don't think it would work as well. The story is told without words. But it is easy to understand what is going on (and possibly relate depending on how your childhood went.) Overall it is a well crafted piece both stylewise and storywise.
